Before Jesus took upon Himself flesh and blood, He existed eternally in heaven with God the father and God the Holy Spirit. All three members of the Godhead were present at the creation of this material universe (Genesis 1:1-2; John 1:1-3; Hebrews 1:1-2). Each share the same divine characteristics. The Bible says of Jesus, “who, being in the form of God, did not think it robbery to be equal with God” (Phil. 2:6). However, to fulfill God’s plan to save man from sin Jesus “made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross” (Phil. 2:7-8). Yes, Jesus came to this earth for the express purpose of shedding His precious blood on the cross to provide forgiveness of sins (Romans 5:8-9; Hebrews 5:8-9). “For the Word of God is living and powerful , and sharper than any two-edged sword , piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart .” (Hebrews 4:12) God’s Word is at work in the world today. It is an active force. It governs the spiritual activity in the Universe. It changes things, especially when spoken and believed, both in the hearts of men and in their circumstances. God is watching over his word to perform it (Jer. 1:12). God’s Word is compared to a seed (Luke 8:11; Mark 4:14; 1 Peter 1:23). This seed produces new life if planted well. Like seed, it is growing in hearts and multiplying and spreading all over the world today. Satan, his demons and antichrist people cannot stop the inevitable progress of this seed. Every seed produces life after its own kind. The seed of God’s Word, if planted well in soft hearts, open hearts, will produce the life, character and faith of God in its heare
